Why do PayPal transaction details suddenly convert to legacy layout?

In the past, when I select transaction details to see a payment, it would appear in a layout that matches the rest of the website. However, since today (at least that's when I first noticed it), clicking transaction details redirects me to the legacy website layout. In addition to being ugly, this layout doesn't work with the software that I use to automatically copy transaction details into a system that I use.
Any idea why the legacy format is now being forced? I checked the settings and see nothing that would help.
The transaction details page now looks like https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_history-details-from-hub&show_legacy=true&id=TRANSACTIONI... instead of https://www.paypal.com/activity/payment/TRANSACTIONID and manually navigating to the latter simply redirects me back to the old cgi-bin link.
