What is going on? Why are my conversations being closed?

Hi. I’m incredibly frustrated. I have been trying to remove my old bank account for months and PayPal won’t let me. I have started conversations about this in messaging TWICE and both times, the customer service agent has closed the conversation with no resolution. Now every time I try to open a new conversation, PayPal automatically closes it. It shouldn’t be difficult to remove my old bank account. This should not be a problem. I would really like to know what’s going on, because to me this looks like absolutely horrible customer service, not to mention it’s extremely shady to just not let me send messages anymore. I am considering closing my PayPal account. I understand that one person doing so doesn’t make much of a difference, but if this attitude towards clients continues, they’re going to have a bigger problem. I doubt I’m the only person that’s dealt with this.
