Transferring my PayPal Account from one country origin to another.

I created my first (and current) PayPal Account when I was temporarily residing in Australia in 2014.
Because of that, the account only links to Australian bank cards and all transactions are originally in $AUD currency converted into (x) currency.

Currently, I am living in Malaysia (for good) and I want to tie my PayPal Account as if it's based in Malaysia, since I've left Australia.

Do I close my current PayPal Account and then create a new one (with the same email address) through PayPal Malaysia? I'm just afraid that it won't work in the end because PayPal would assume the email address I use has been 'exhausted' from closing my current account.

Or is there another method to change the account's country origin to another?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.

You are supposed to withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you leave your old country. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved.
