Stopping PayPal from Sharing My Personal Info

Does anyone know if there’s a setting that allows me to stop the sharing of my personal information with 3rd parties, i.e. companies that I am receiving payments from, or sending payments to?

PayPal, we are really huge when it comes to our Customers security. Rest assured that your information will not be shared. The purpose of you having a PayPal account is to be protected regarding all your payment information. When you Send payment to somebody they won't see your Bank Account details nor your Credit Card information, just your PayPal account details.

Old thread but had to mention it. I just signed up for an account on the DC Infinity website and it is showing my PayPal information such as email and the creadit card detail on my PayPal as the Payment option. Its also asking me if I want to set my credit card on my PayPal account as the default payment method instead of PayPal.

So it seems PayPal does share this information? How is this secure if they can access my credit card details from PayPal? I use PayPal so I dont have to share my credit card details.
