Required ID file too large

Hi all.

I have tried to email paypal but had no response. They want me to update my information again. I have uploaded both passport and identity card photos but both files are too large. Any tips please?

Hi @realtadrama,

I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty uploading documents.

One thing to try - if the file size is too big and it's an image, you can open the image in an image editing program see if the image pixel size is very large. If it is, you can scale the image size down and re-save the file. As long as it's big enough for all the detail to be read, it doesn't have to be very large. This should help with the overall file size of the image. Others may have more suggestions for reducing file size, but I've had luck with this one.
