Potential Fraud

My fiance recently found a hard inquiry for his PayPal account and he hasn't used PayPal in a long time, years. Recently he received a letter that I had no knowledge of that something was going wrong with his account I believe. What is the best way to report this as fraud because essentially, that is what it is. Please let me know for him, thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your finance's experience!  Based on the information provided above, it sounds like a PayPal Credit application might have been submitted in his name.  I recommend contacting PayPal Credit's customer service teams directly for further assistance with removing the hard inquiry from his credit report. Their teams can be reached by calling 1-866-528-3733 (toll-free), Mon-Fri 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM ET and Sat-Sun 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM ET.
