Personal Paypal account set up as business account

Hi PP Community, 

My Paypal account was somehow incorrectly set up or switched over to a business account, when I only use it as a personal account. This is problematic because using it as a business account charges me a % fee every time I use it to accept payment from friends and family. I can't find a way to switch account types or to close down the account at all.  Has someone had experience with this?

My friend is trying to send me money to my pay pal but my account says goods and services and it doesn't give me the option fro personal payment

 There is no automatic way to downgrade a business account to a personal account, you have to contact customer services and they will do that for you.

Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

OR
You could just close your business account (removing all subscriptions / financial info etc first) and open a personal one.
