For no reason or application from myself my personal account is now a business account. I've given up trying to contact PayPal because I ho around in circles ending up with a virtual help desk who keeps asking if I want a business debit card. All I want is to establish is why I am a normal shopper / seller of personal items am I now classed as a business. I am not an excessive user. Any ideas on how to reverse this issue will be most welcome

There is no automatic way to downgrade a business account to a personal account, you have to contact customer services and they will do that for you.
You can click on help / contact bottom left of every Paypal page for contact options for your country.
OR
You could just close your business account (removing all subscriptions / financial info etc first) and open a personal one.

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.
OR
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Thank you do much for your reply. I am not happy that they have done this. I tried the help pages and contact Us and all I found was a virtual helper. I'll look for the call Us icon. Many, many thanks for taking the time to reply
