Paypal ask for my ID

Hello, just wondering is paypal gonna ask me for my ID if I linked my paypal account with my bank account?

Not necessarily at the time you link your bank.

If you link your bank account, credit card and enter your SSN and they can't verify your info because sometimes finding your information using the National Database does not work because the information is unavailable or your name or address has changed, then PayPal may contact you about verifying with a copy of your photo ID and other documentation.
