PayPal iPhone App - Internal Server Error With 2 Step Authentication

I added 2 step authentication onto my PayPal account. It works fine when I log in from my desktop. An authentication code is texted to my cell phone, I enter it in on my desktop, and I get into PayPal. So far, so good.  When I log into PayPal using the PayPal app on my iPhone, I get the authentication code texted to me. I then enter it in into the PayPal app, and I get "Internal Server Error". I have tried this many times, and I always get "Internal Server Error". I CANNOT GET INTO PAYPAL USING THE PAYPAL APP ON MY IPHONE USING 2 STEP AUTHENTICATION.  Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix this?
