Not able to reset paypal password

I'm trying to recover an old paypal account from a few years ago and everytime i do it says "We're sorry, something seems to have gone wrong. Please try again." Other accounts are recoverable so anyone have info on this?

It seems like our system needs an additional verification step to let you recover the PayPal password. I would recommend contacting our Customer Service directly. If you want to contact our Customer Service, you can click ‘Help & Contact’ at the bottom of any PayPal page to see which options are available. You can also contact us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/PayPal) or on Twitter (@AskPayPal).
