- why exactly is it that when i buy something on ebay , paypal does not ask for my password as it used to . as far as i remember i have not changed any settings. and how to revert this.

Go to Account Settings (gear icon) > Security > One Touch® for auto login at checkout > Disable
You may want to adjust the settings for autofill of login info in your browser also.
