The credit card I was using for PayPal expired, so I deleted it. I have since got the new one and have activated it with my bank, but when I try to add it to PayPal, it says the bank rejected it.
The thing is, my name as it appears on the credit card has changed on the new card. Using a fictitious name, my old card read "JOHN MICHAEL SMITH" and the new one reads "JOHN M. SMITH ..". The two dots at the end are what the bank uses for people like me who have no maternal surname (something that exists in all the Spanish-speaking world). They are meaningful and must be used.
My problem is simple: when I go to add the new card to PayPal, there is no option to modify my name. So I need to know how I can do this -- otherwise I can't use PayPal.
