My PayPal balance got taken by paypal and I have to claim it?

PayPal litearly took the money out of my balance and it says I have to **bleep**ing claim it... and to claim it i have to provide documents that i do not feel comfortable providing. Why the hell would they just take MY money out my account and theres no way for me to get it.
