Mobile verification & living in different countries

I want to use UK bank account, but travel around SE Asia (moving country every month or so depending on visa requirements)

So can't use UK mobile number.

I can't set up a new Paypal account in say Thailand, because I don't have a Thai bank account.

Is there a way around this? (other than to have a UK number turned on for data roaming international).
