Login issues

Good evening.

I have been having issues logging in for several weeks now. I had forgotten my password and in trying to sort it the message I kept getting was that a OTP would be sent to a phone ending in 704 . This number was nothing to do with me and eventually Customer Service realised that someone had obviously got into my account and added it !! 

I removed this number from my settings so only my mobile is there BUT even now when I try to use the PayPal App the message still comes up ‘sending OTP to xxxxx704’

 

This is so frustrating. I regularly need to send money to my family in Australia and it takes me about 30 minutes to gain access to my account by using the web as opposed to using the app which meant whole process took about 5 minutes !! 

Would be grateful for any suggestions.
