Issue to close account and delete data

Good afternoon,

I am trying to close my account and reopen a new one using the same email and mobile.

The reason for, I moved from the Netherlands to Portugal.

I cannot delete my email, nor phone number, neither address.

It keeps requesting to add new ones, set as primary, and after all, I can delete them.

But I don’t have any address remaining in the Netherlands.

I just need that someone from the PayPal support centre help me to delete all data and close my NL account.

you sent me a message, but I cannot open it.

I hope that you can help me with this. Could you please send me the instructions directly to my email, seeing that over PayPal is not working? Thank you in advance

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.


Paypal phones are mostly non operational since covid but sometimes you get lucky.
If there is one available it will show when you click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available in your country.
Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
