If you use two steps verification and change phone number

Maybe I’m writing on the wrong topic, but I want to help others.

If you change the phone number and already use the two step verification you must cancel this security settings and reactivate it.

If you do not cancel the two step verification, you have changed your phone number in vain and deleted the old one. Paypal will send the SMS to your deleted old phone number.

This is a bug that needs to be fixed.

So...
-add your new phone number
-make your new number a primary
-delete your old phone number
-turn off the two step verification
-configure the two step verification again (it will send the code to you already).

Hi,

I've received a refund into a Paypal account that I must have set up years ago. As soon as i log in i can't get past the verification process as Paypal wants to call on a landline that no longer exists. When it says verify by a different method the landline is the only option. Some people say to change it in the settings but i don't have a settings tab. Any thoughts?
