I want to confirm a new email address, always get error " something went wrong - try again later"

I receive the confirmation email with all links needed, get the code on my mobile to confirm new email, but after I enter and confirm I always get the same  error: 

and this for several days already.

I tried different browsers, cleared history ... no luck

Anyone having the same problem?

How can I solve this?
