I no longer have a cell phone of any kind. Obviously, I can't accept text messages. I can't get into my account because, after logging in with my password successfully, I'm ask for verification code. When I try to access it, I'm asked to text something. I can't. I can receive landline phone calls.
HELP! I'm 70 y.o. Not everyone has a cell phone, as you seem to require.

It's me again. I neglected to say that I don't remember signing up for a secondary security thing. All I want to do is log in with password & go to account.

Well 'we' don't require anything, Paypal does.
And you would need to have a cell phone to be able to continue to use paypal.
To be honest not sure how folks manage without one as a lot of sites use them to confirm security issues.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
