I can't get paypal to complete my purchase...help

I've been with Paypal for years but now all of a sudden today it's telling me I don't have an account? Yet if I click 'take me to my account' I get there. But they continue to say there's no record of my email address so I can't use Paypal to purchase anything.

You may want to phone customer service for assistance - sounds like a system glitch but, hopefully customer service can fix things for you.
