How to add European bank account to American Paypal

Hello,

I have an American Paypal account linked to my American bank, but am living in Europe with a European bank account.  According to some people, as a US citizen I should be able to connect my European bank account to my current Paypal account - see the link below.  But I can't find how to do this.  I have an IBAN and not a routing number.  Thanks.

Sadly that is wrong. As a U.S citizen you can add a U.S bank account to most other countries paypal accounts, this is because paypal is a U.S company.

But it does not work the other way around..........

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.
