I accidentally linked my PayPal acct to my sons messenger account. How do I disable this? He is now getting messages from all my xmas purchases for him!

Sorry Frank but your how too appears to be complete nonsense

I just looked under every single button, text and  avenue and none of the items you indicate are there.

It is as if my Paypal account is  a Martian paypal system

There IS NO WAY OF cancelling Facebook notification of my transactions. This is NOT good enough and I want a fix now.

Why cant you have a simple opt out button. Every single activity with paypal is so hard to navigate.Im beyond frustrated

I had this problem a few years ago and I fixed it, but I don't really remember how. Just know it's fixable. You might try this from the Paypal side:

How do I unlink PayPal from Facebook?
There are two ways that your PayPal account may be linked to Facebook, through a billing agreement, or through receipt notifications. You can unlink your account at any time by cancelling your billing agreement, or turning off your receipt notifications.

It’s been already 5 days since I transfered money from PayPal in to my bank account and I have not received them yet. Why?

Hi @PayPal_Frank

I do not see the Messenger option in the page https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/settings/notifications - when I go to that page I am redirected to https://www.paypal.com/businessprofile/settings which does not contain this option.

How do I turn it off?

@IanBlackburn  Thanks for letting us know.

Please try this option:

https://www.paypal.com/social/messenger/notifications

This link can also be accessed by responding to the Receipt on Messenger with "turn off notifications".  Then click the "Update Notifications" button.

If you see a helpful post, please accept it as a solution or give the author kudos. 🙂 Thanks!

Hi Frank Thanks for getting back so quickly and for creating that 1 time link. Paypal should have that option clearly labeled under say the Payment Preferences tab.

I would suggest Paypal web people sit down with a new user  and they will see the many difficult to navigate areas.

You can log on to YouTube.com and find out a more simpler way or you can long on IOS apple settings and turn off notifications from there
