How do I change the country. I have moved to France.

Hi,

I am very confused. Why on Paypal can I not change the country to change my address and phone number? I now live in France.

Hi @MairinMcs,

Welcome to the Community! Congrats on the big move as well. Unfortunately, countries cannot be changed for PayPal accounts as the regulations for money movement can change country to country. You would most likely need to close your old account and open a new account under the correct country.

Hi Gwen, I have the same problem as well. I opened my account when I was in Dubai and now I need to change all my details to Sri Lanka because I am originally from Sri Lanka.But it seems like it’s not possible. So as you say, if I close my current account and open a new account , will I get back my money which was in my previous account?

Hi Shiro25,

I would suggest you first transfer your balance to your card or your bank account and then close the account.
