HELP PLEASE - Locked out of account because of Text Now number, cannot login to change

Moderators, PLEASE HELP

 

I have been locked out of my account since mid-September, when all of a sudden PayPal's verification texts to my TextNow number stopped working. I've been a member of Paypal for years and my TextNow number has worked for at least the past year with no problem at all. Yet somehow in mid-September, that changed and I no longer receive the verification texts. I have already changed my Paypal password, called the Paypal number (can't ever get anyone on that number at all), made sure Paypal's short number wasn't blocked, etc. I am STILL locked out of my account and it's December. It's been 3 months and I can't touch my money at all. 

 

I have come across MANY posts like this and to be honest, most of them do not have responses. That's very worrying because I have no idea how I'm going to get this fixed without being able to contact an actual person from Paypal to help me through it. 

 

I need to change the TextNow number on my 2-step verification to another phone number or change it to an email, but I can't do something as simple as that because I cannot log in. At all. Once I type in my password, I'm hit with the 2-step verification and never receive the text so that I can log in completely. 

 

PLEASE SOMEONE, HELP. I do not know what else to do.

Try:

1. Downloading the app to see if it will let you in to change / update it in the settings.

2. Use the forgotten password option.

3. Trying another browser that may let you in without phone verification (then change it when you have logged in).

4. Trying again another day when sometimes you can get in without doing the verification and then change the number.

5. Changing the password a few times sometimes works as it can bypass the phone verification.

If that does not work then you would need to contact customer services so that they can i.d. you another way and then add your new phone number to your account.

Contact options for Paypal at the moment are...

Paypal phones are mostly non operational since covid but sometimes you get lucky. (use the guest option if you can't log in).
If there is one available it will show when you click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available in your country.
Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or
