I recently had a charge to my paypal account from what looks like airbnb. I contact airbnb and was actually able to speak to a person unlike paypal who reported they had no records of any charges to me, and my last reservation was in 2019. They recommended I report to Paypal. I reported to paypal and got an automatic reply a few hours later stating this charge was part of a billing agreement with airbnb. If so why does airbnb have no record of it? I have tried to unlink and remove my bank card and I continue to receive an error message same as when I try to close my paypal account it directs me to customer services of which there is currently not a single person to speak with. How to do I close my paypal account at this time given there is no actual person to speak with and I have a fraudulent charge to my account.
