I opened a Paypal credit account the other week, and I've now got a letter to set up a DD. I was of the impression that I could choose when to make repayments, if at all, at least within the 4-month interest free period. I appreciate I'd need to make repayments after this, as interest would accrue, but think this email may be a ruse to encourage repayments earlier than customers might otherwise choose. In any case, it is possible the items I have bought may be returned to suppliers, generating refunds, so making payments so soon would leave my account unnecessarily in credit. So is setting up a DD so soon just a suggestion, rather than being mandatory? I'm hoping the former, since no minimum amount is suggested in the email. Any help on this appreciated, please.
