Hi, I was sent some money into my Paypal account in UK pounds, however when the money arrived it had been converted into US dollars. This has never happened before. Does anyone have a possible explanation for this.

Here's how to accept money in a new currency:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click Currencies under your PayPal account balance.
- Open the Select new currency drop down.
- Select the currency you want.
- Click Add Currency.
Note:
- When you accept money in multiple currencies, you have multiple account balances.
- When a buyer sends money in a currency you accept, the money automatically appears in that currency’s
How to change Paypal default currency to USD?
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Money at the top of the page.
Click Manage Currency.
Choose the currency to make Primary.
Click Make Primary.
