Creating a separate merchant account for both names on the same bank account

My husband and I share a bank account. He setup his PayPal Account linked to this checking account. He added me to his PayPal Account. I now would like my own PayPal Account linked to our joint bank account. Is this possible? Thank you.

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum. 

I understand you wish to create a new account. You can refer to this link for more information. You can add a bank account to one PayPal account at a time, but you may try to link the bank account to a second PayPal account. In this case, PayPal Security System has to review and approve it. However, we'll not able to guarantee whether the System will allow it or not.
