In general, you will be able to find the code to confirm your card on your PayPal account only after you have been charged the £1 on your card. The code should be showing next to the word 'PAYPAL' in your card statement. If you are not able to locate the charge or the code in your online statement, it may be that you will have to request a full statement to your bank directly. Sometimes, in fact, the code may not be visible online.
