Text received from <removed> from PayPal asking me to log in to paypal <removed> to confirm identity and restore service. Is this correct?

Hi @Stewart47,

Thank you for your post! That SMS was not from PayPal. If you ever see a message by text or email that claims to be from PayPal that asks you to take action, you should treat it with caution. You can always open a fresh browser window and type in paypal.com to ensure that you're not logging in to a malicious website from a link. If there's messaging in your account that directs you to take action, then you can safely do so.
