Last Sunday (19-7-2020) my friend closed her PayPal account with funds above €50 on it, in an attempt to change the phonenumber on her account. Now that the account is closed (essentially with the funds still in them). Would it be possible to somehow get these funds back?
Normally you can't close a paypal account if it has a positive or negative balance in it so is she sure its closed?
If it is closed then her best bet is to wait until paypal starts manning the phones again and then speak to an agent and ask them to send her a cheque OR transfer the funds to another account (she may have to open a second account and link a withdrawal option to it first).
