Help! I am tearing what remains of my hair out trying to resolve this!
We are a church, part of a charity, but not a charity ourselves. We aren't a business, and don't have a business registration number. However we've been going for 551 years (since 1470!) and don't seem to fall into any particular type of business recognised by PayPal and they are very difficult to communicate with.
They have advised changing the type of business account from Business to Individual which, to get things resolved, I'm happy to do. However, the instructions they've sent, don't work! They've told me to do the following:
1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page, then select 'Profile and Settings' from the drop-down menu.
3. In the 'Business information' section, click 'Update'.
4. Click 'Edit'.
5. Choose either 'Individual' or 'Sole Proprietorship' as your business type.
6. Click 'Save' to finish the process.
Any suggests please?
Thanks
Jon.
