Card decline after request to confirm card has been sent

Hi Team!
Hope you all are doing well.
I have this problem where I have a cards connected to Paypal and requested for one of it to be verified. After sending the request it charges my card (though it will be refunded after the verification process) But what I did wrong is I have accidentally removed the wrong card. The one that I requested to be verified was removed (by my mistake) and when I'm trying to add it again I'm getting the error that it's been declined. Now I'm also getting notification from PayPal that I need to add my card back for it to be verified, but I can't because of the error. I'm really lost and I don't know what to do. Has anyone by any chance encounter the same? Please help! Thanks
