I opened a PayPal account and using it fine for 5+ years and was later asked to provide a form of ID as authentication as I used the account more. When I did this my account was restricted as my date of birth did not match.
I therefore opened a new account under my work email address and have been using it fine for years however I am now leaving my job and will not have access to this email account.
I would like to add my personal email address to my current account however it tells me it is linked to another account so cannot do this. I have tried to close my first account with my personal email address however it is not letting me do this, perhaps due to the restriction?
Is there a way I can fix this? Or do I need a new email account?
