Canadian accidentally created US account and now can't access my money

Hello. I am a Canadian who accidentally created a US account rather than a Canadian account, and now I am unable to transfer money into my Canadian bank account. What can I do to resolve this issue? I need to have a SSN to "accept" the money for a US account, and I'm not able to have a physical cheque mailed to Canada (they will only let me put a US account). What are my options? I'm happy to pay any related transaction fees or even to pay a higher exchange rate just to resolve this matter.


I have reached out to PayPal for help but they just seem to just copy-paste templated messages that don't actually answer my questions.

Please help.
