I can't log into my other paypal account after I changed my phone number.
There is no one on customer support, is there a way I can log in... somehow...?
I tried downloading the PayPal app - sends code via SMS to old phone number, does not work.
Tried changing the password, adding the new code sent via email, does not work.
Tried several different browsers multiple times - does not work.
Help!!!

I solved my problem. The solution is to go to live chat without logging in.
To start a conversation without logging into your account:
- Go to www.paypal.com.
- Click Contact at the bottom of the page.
- Click Password and account access under "Common Issues".
- Click Login problems.
- Click Message us at the bottom of the page.
- Click Chat with us while logged out.
I got to chat to a support staff who changed the phone number for me.

Try:
1. Downloading the app to see if it will let you in to change / update it in the settings.
2. Use the forgotten password option several times.
3. Trying another browser that may let you in without phone verification (then change it when you have logged in).
4. Trying again another day when sometimes you can get in without doing the verification and then change the number.
5. Changing the password a few times sometimes works as it can bypass the phone verification.
If that does not work then you would need to contact customer services so that they can i.d. you another way and then add your new phone number to your account.
Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...
1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

@kernowlass I tried all your solutions and wanted to try live chat, unfortunately the problem was that I was no able to find how to get there. I kept on being sent around in circles. So I thought it was useful to post the steps here and accept it as the answer since your answer was already accepted else where in the community forums. The suggesting to log in with the app helped a lot, especially since while during live chat, even with the help of the customer support, I could not log in to the browser. Your detailed answer which I have seen in several threads including this one is helpful, and the community thanks you 🙂
