Being asked to provide a mobile number before I can login, but I don't have one.

I've been using paypal for years without needing to add a mobile number, but now I'm locked out of my account until I can provide one. The issue is I don't have one. If I select "Call you with a code" will it give me a way to access my account over my home phone?

Have you ever added a phone number to your account?

 

"will it give me a way to access my account over my home phone?"

 

Good question. Some financial institutions let you use a landline number and it'd be a recorded message giving you the code.

 

Maybe try the number you have because it says that it performs automated calls.

 

You can also switch from the app to the website or vice versa to try and log in.

 

Otherwise, try the forgot password option on the log in page:

https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/i-forgot-my-password.-how-do-i-reset-it-faq1933

 

If you need to speak with customer service:

  1. Go to: https://www.paypal.com/smarthelp/contact-us
  2. Click Password and account access
  3. Click Login problems
  4. Click Click Message Us, after the "This information might help" box
  5. Click Chat with us while logged out

Thanks but you didn't understand you know how you take a direct deposit form to have your check out right in well you have yo have your banks name their routing number and your account number those are the numbers im asking about
