After adding a contact to my PayPal address book, they aren't showing up in my contact list

I followed the following article to add a contact to my PayPal address book: https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/FAQ3705

However, when I go to Send money, that person is not in the list of contacts displayed. Am I doing something wrong? I've logged out of PayPal and back in twice, but no luck.

I'm having the exact same problem. 

I have three other contacts from before,

and I know you can add up to 200 contacts,

but now all of a sudden,

I am trying to add a fourth contact into my address book

and it is not showing up on my contact list when I go to

make the payment to such contact.

Did I register my contact incorrectly or insufficiently?

What is going on?

Turns out that you must make a transaction with an individual before they will show up in the icons/list of contacts. Adding them to the address book alone is not sufficient to have this occur. In fact, they needn't even be in your address book to have them appear in the list. As an experiment, I sent $1.00 to someone who is NOT in my address book, and his name/icon appeared.
