Acount Phone number verification, account information verification

Hello Community,

i created my paypal account while i was in France so the account has some french preferences. I added my french phone number to my account.

I currently moved to italy and am now using an italian phone number. I'm not being able to change the phone number from the french to the italian. The format is strictly for +33 country code (France) and even when i put +39(Italy) in the phone # format it does not premit the change and says the phone # is invalid even with trying 0039 or 039 as a country code. I did manage to change the phone number but if i want a verification code the code gets sent with the prefix +33 regardless of what my number is. Is there a way to change the country code? 

i also tried to verify my account by uploading information about me eg passport and housing proof. does anyone know how long the process takes for them to get veified?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / and bank accounts from within that country.

You are supposed to withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you leave your old country. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved.
