I created my paypal account last year with my maiden surname as I was new to PayPal and then several months later I was asked to verify my account so unfortunately I do not have any identification with my maiden surname anymore and now my money has been stuck in the account for over 6 months. I have called customer services and was informed that if the money is there for over 6 months I would be able to transfer it to my new account however I am still unable too. I am in South Africa and cannot afford the telephone costs to the US nr . Please help .Thanks

Why didn't you just do a name change?
