Account hijacked and locked out from Paypal support

Dear community.

We received a mail from Paypal that someone added a new mail on our account and changed the password.

The hijacker has also deleted our principal mail so when we try to recover the password Paypal we are told our account doesn't exist.

 

Now comes the best part: there's no way I can contact Paypal if I can't login but we can't login at all. The phone lines they advertise on site and on their mails either drop the call or recite a message that says that because of COVID-19 there's no phone support active.

We are talking of Paypal Europe here.

 

The account is hacked and we don't know how to check what's going on with it, so long of the balance but I want to be sure no one of us attached a credit card or that is used to scam other people.

 

Is there a way to contact them in a timely manner to block the account?
