How can I delete my Paypal account?

Close account checklist:

1. Resolve any open disputes or account limitations.
2. Zero out the balance.
3. Cancel any active automatic payments.
4. Remove financial info (bank accounts, cards).
5. Go to Settings (cog icon).
6. Click Close Account under Account Options section.
7. Business accounts: Click Close Account across from Account Type.

I don't have that option in settings, which is why I started this thread. I guess I will have to contact customer service. 🤬

In order to resolve a limitation, it wants me to provide my ID. Obviously I'm not going to do that, when I no longer want the account. Issues like these are why I don't want to use PayPal.

PayPal accounts cannot be closed while there are unresolved issues with it. You can contact PayPal Customer Service if you want help with resolving the limitation on a PayPal account. 

You can call PayPal Customer Service or reach out to them via Facebook or Twitter.
