I've just opened my account and as part of the registration process entered my mobile number.
I'm trying to set up 2 stage verification using text to my mobile but when I proceed through the process below

Security
2-step verification
Set up
Text me a code
Set up
The Country and Mobile number fields are already populated with my mobile number, I then press
Next ...and briefly get the message...The mobile number you have entered is already registered.
I have subsequently made a purchase on ebay and paid via paypal but didn't get offered the 2 stage text prompt.
Am I missing something here? It appears that my number is correctly recorded but the verification process hasn't been activated I'm going round in circles and would appreciate any help on offer.
