Husband and I have shared a PayPal account for 11 years. It uses his legal name, but my email, my phone, and our shared bank account. Recently, I've had people at garage sales/FB marketplace hesitate to pay us through PayPal because they've been talking to a "Jane" but get a request from a "John" for payment. I saw in the PayPal Help topics that "It is not possible to change the name on your account to another person's name." I'm not opposed to setting up my own account (I think I had one with my maiden name before we got married), but can I even do that if our shared account uses my email and phone? And would PayPal give me errors for using the same bank account as "his" PayPal?
