Hi,

When I do a checkout via paypal on my website, customers have to create a paypal account. Even though I have chosen the paypal account optional in the options and also I am using website payment standard.  This is a simple shopping cart checkout.

What could I be missing

thanks !

I have the very same problem. However I haven't been able to find the "paypal account optional" in the options. Can you direct me to that?

thanks

You can find that option here:

1. Login to your account

2. Go to Profiles link under the My Account Tab

3. Go under Website Payments under Selling Preferences

4. Paypal account optional is the 4th option under it. By default it is set to ON

Hello ethnicfrills,

If you have a business account and you have made the PayPal account optional for your customers when they checkout that is all that would need to be done. When you get to the checkout page you should see your order summary on the left, log in to my PayPal account on the top right and don't have a PayPal account on the bottom right. I hope this helps!
