If your code is clear text meaning not "hosted' or "encrypted", all you have to do is change the "amount" variable value in your item button code and resave to your web page. Look for this line:
<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="10.00">
If your code is "hosted" meaning that you created the code using the Online Button Creator within your Account, you can go back to My Saved Buttons in your PayPal Account Profile and edit the stored code. Providing nothing else needs to be changed, you just edit the "amount" and save the changes. You do not need to do anything else to your code or recopy it.
If your code is "encrypted", then you have to recreate it and copy back to your web page.
