Buttons not working

I have used PayPal buttons on my websites for years, but yesterday after uploading a "donate" button they do not work anymore.  I have a total of 5 buttons now that do not do anything when a person clicks on them. I have re-created the buttons and reloaded them into my site, but they still do not work.  I am using Google Chrome, but I also tried it on Internet Explorer and on two different computers.  What am I doing wrong?
