Is there a way to categorize payments received? Our car club receives payments for membership, show admission, and club sales. Is there any way of showing what a payment is sent for? Thanks for the help!
Blessings
Richard

If people are sending money directly from their PayPal accounts willy nilly, then it is up to the sender to add a note to indicate what it is but if you have a website and use PayPal buttons and when you make the PayPal buttons, you can indicate a item description/item number so you can track what the payments are for when you download the activity data and sort it all out on a spreadsheet. You can make subscription/recurring payment/billing agreements buttons so then subscription or recurring payments can be sorted.
PayPal doesn't let you sort by specifically by Item number or item description right on the site, it lets you sort by the type of transactions or payment statuses (ie. subscriptions, orders, billing agreements, refunds, payment received/sent, money received/sent, etc). Examine at the sort drop down menus in the Activity page for options.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
