Unbelievable hold times to get support on the phone....

I needed to contact Pay Pal Support by telephone, and after entering my one-time passcode, I was put on hold to wait for an available agent....

When I say put on hold, I MEAN put on HOLD (for like almost an hour)!! Man Mad  It was ludicrous really, but I guess they figure they can thin the complaint crowd like that or something. Whatever the case, has anyone else been subjected to this, or is it just a fluke on me??

Thanks in advance!!

On hold since last 1 hour 43 mins and counting. This is ridiculous. So my ebay account is compromised and they themselves email me saying they detected fraudulent activity on my account. Asked me to open a dispute with Paypal since payment was made. Opened a claim with Paypal and they denied it giving no reason. This is scam in the name of company. Avoid Paypal like a plague.

So to update all the unfortunate Paypal customers. I was on hold for 9 hours 23 minutes and finally my wife decided to end the call. I would have held it overnight just to see if someone ever answers the call. Here is the screenshot of it.Paypal.png

Called first thing this morning. Was told the wait time was 7 to 15 minutes. Was on hold for about 5 minutes and someone answered. Said she couldn't help me and she was transferring me to a specialist. The "specialist" said I needed to talk to customer service. I told him I just did and she transferred me to a "specialist." Well he can't help me so he's going to transfer me to customer service because that's who can help me. I get back to customer service and again she tells me I need to speak with a specialist so she'll put me on hold for just a moment. 2.5 hours later while still waiting I was hung up on. So I called right back. Didn't even get to customer service or to wait, I was hung up on. Called back again. I am now on hold again. This time it's a 3.5 to 4.25 hour wait. I'll sit here all day if I have to. I'm done. The account will be cancelled. Thanks for nothing PayPal. Glad you could be of service.

This is insane.  2 hours on hold with this "one time access code". Why would a sane person ever what to use it again?  And I havent spoken with a single person.  Lord knows how long it will actually take to resolve anything.  This is an "online" company correct?  Where are options to chat with someone?  This is not new technology.  If anyone picks up my call I will be closing my account.  After reading other posts its clear this is a chronic ongoing problem that PayPal has no interest in resolving or acknowledging this is occurring.  Why is anyone even using this company anymore?  Why as buyers and sellers are we using a company that clearly doesnt value our time?  They certainly have no problem charging us fees.  Best part is I'm listening to a hold message that's telling me  "simple communication is the best way to resolve problems"  LOL.  Clearly they are excluding themselves from that statement.  The lowest possible standard for support/help has always been the Federal Government.  Pay Pal has just taken the lead to the worst.
